Recap of Boston Comic Con 2011
on May 2, 2011 at 2:35 amAnd boy, it sure was some nerdy fun! Met a lot of awesome people and some other comic artists, and even a few long-lost friends. I gotta say, I thought the whole thing turned out really funny, as everyone else had fancy setups with beautiful art, banners and expensive merch, and my table just had some pins, stickers, bookmarks and a laptop. I still managed to give away all 500 of my free bookmarks and chat with a lot of people, so I think it was still a success. I even made $13, enough to buy myself dinner for both nights! And of course there were some ridiculous costumes. If anyone reading this was at the con themselves, holla back (via typing)?
I hope I get to do it next year, though honestly I’ll probably be too broke to afford a table again. But still either way, it was a great experience.

Hey Dude –
I saw you at the con, and loved that you were going for it. I’m the guy that gave you your first dollar, and am proud to put you on your way to untold wealth.
keep on truckin’,
Dave
Hey, I got one of those bookmarks, looking at it right now actually. Said I’d check out the comic, did so, and now it’s in my RSS feed collection. Good stuff. I made my wife a 2 page comic, but I could only handle stick figures. Your MS Paint skills are exquisite.
Hey! It was great to meet you, thanks for the encouragement! Rock on!
Hey there Artist Alley neighbor!
I finally got around to checking out your site. I love it! haha you’ve got a great sense of humor
keep it up! and good luck with all your endeavours! Maybe we’ll see ya next year!
HEY DUDE!!!
Great stuff! Sorry it took me a few to get back to you. Been busy trying to prepare for the Granite State Comic Con, you goin?
I don’t remember if I got back to you or not, sorry if I didn’t! Yeah I don’t think I’ll be at the Granite Comic Con unfortunately, hopefully some day when I’m not in school anymore I’ll be able to go to more of them!
And apparently you didn’t go to the Southcoast Toy and Comic show either lol well dude i hope you can start making it to more shows soon!
Yeah I won’t be able to be at a lot of them as I’m still a broke student in Boston and don’t have a car at the moment. Hopefully in a little while I’ll find time to go to another local thing that doesn’t break the bank too much.
